What is a Food for Special Medical Purposes? and how to recognise it?

It is not always easy to understand the differences among various categories of food products and under which law they are regulated. MNI has developed a statement of principles intended to provide information on Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMPs) vs General / Fortified Food in the context of the European Union regulatory framework.
