Every year, the ESPEN-ONCA-MNI Joint Session gathers experts to discuss ways to deliver better nutritional care to patients. During the 2018 ESPEN Congress, experts explored the theme ‘Nutrition without borders’ with an audience of 3800 healthcare professionals and looked at a recipe for good nutritional care across borders: screening for malnutrition, patient-centered guidelines, good practice sharing, and education were key ingredients to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients across borders.
André Van Gossum, ESPEN Chairman, welcomed the audience and moderate the session, together with Olle Ljungqvist, ENHA Trustees.
Nicola Bedlington, Secretary General of the European Patient Forum, stressed the need to involve patients.
Tim Meyerhoff, closed the Joint Session with the announcement of the 2018 MNI Grant Winner awarded to the Spanish Society for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (SENPE). More information on MNI Grant is available here.
